Zi Wei Dou Shu is another branch of Chinese Astrology that is a popular and powerful system of divination, along with Ba Zi (Four Pillars of Destiny).

In Zi Wei Dou Shu, there are 12 palaces representing the 12 Chinese zodiac signs. Each palace corresponds to a specific aspect of our life and these palaces are governed by different stars.

To help you in finding your love interest, you can make use of your Wedding Star (known as Hong Luan).

First, you need to know what is your Chinese zodiac sign. You can refer to this Chinese Zodiac Quick Guide to find out.

If you're born in the year of the Rat, your Wedding Star is Rabbit. What this means is that your Romance Luck will be very favourable in the year of the Rabbit.

What you can do is place an ornamental Rabbit (preferably made of Wood) in the East sector of your house. Alternatively you can also carry an accessory with a Rabbit on it (say a key ring).

If you're born in the year of the Ox, your Wedding Star is Tiger. What this means is that your Romance Luck will be very favourable in the year of the Tiger.

Different Feng Shui schools of thought have different ways of defining the Romance sector of your house that you can use to attract Mr. or Ms. Right into your life.

There's yet another way to define your Romance sector and that's based on Eight Mansions Feng Shui. Under this school of thought, there are four auspicious and four inauspicious sectors in your house based on your Kua number.

By activating your Yan Nien sector, you'll be able to attract love into your life.

To do so, you can position the stove in your house to face your Yan Nien direction. So if your Yan Nien is East, you should position your stove to face East.

Of course, it might not be easy to relocate your stove. There are other ways to activate the sector, including sleeping in your Yan Nien sector, placing a vase of fresh flowers or rearing fish in that sector.

Fishing Around For Love

Besides rearing fish for wealth, you may also enhance your luck in love and romance by setting up an aquarium in your Romance sector and rearing a pair of goldfish.

You may also determine the number of fishes by looking at your element.

The number of fish you should rear will depend on your element.

How-To Activate Your Romance Sector

Just as there are a number of different ways of locating your Romance sector, either by using your Chinese zodiac sign or by using classical landscape feng shui, there are a number of different ways to activate your Romance sector.

The method you choose depends largely on the layout of your house and your lifestyle.

1. You can activate the Romance sector by having your bed in the Romance sector and sleeping in that sector.

2. You can activate the Romance sector by placing a vase of fresh flowers in that sector.

3. You can activate the Romance sector by rearing fish.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

There's actually more than one way to locate your Romance sector and we've previously talked about locating it using your Chinese zodiac signs.

Another way, based on classical landscape Feng Shui, is to employ the help of the White Tiger and Green Dragon sectors of your house.

If you stand at the center of your house, facing the front door, the Green Dragon sector is the wall to your left and the White Tiger sector is the wall to your right as shown in the picture below.

The Green Dragon is a Yang (masculine) sector and the White Tiger is a Yin (feminine) sector. If you're trying to attract a man, you'll need to activate the energies of the masculine Green Dragon sector. If you're trying to attract a woman, you'll need to activate the energies of the feminine White Tiger sector.

Once you've located your Romance sector, you can use fresh flowers to help you activate the sector to attract the love of your life.

Activating Your Luv Spot

After you've located your Romance sector in your house, it's time to activate the sector.

Flowers are often used to activate the Romance sector. There are a number of things you need to pay attention:

1. The vase must be filled with fresh flowers and clear water. You should not have an empty vase.

2. Only fresh flowers should be used. No synthetic flowers. (That would have made things so much easier, wouldn't it?)

3. Ideally, display 4 stalks of flowers.

3. Choose flowers with vibrant colors and without thorns. Never use black or white flowers.

4. Pay attention to the color of the vase.

If your Romance sector is in the East or Southeast sector (belonging to Wood element), you can use a green vase.

If your Romance sector is in the South (belonging to Fire element), you can use a purple or red vase.

If your Romance sector is in the North (belonging to Water element), you can use a black or blue vase.

If your Romance sector is in the West or Northwest (belonging to Metal element), you can use a white or gold vase.

If your Romance sector is in the Southwest or Northeast (belonging to Earth element), you can use a yellow vase.

Should the thought of changing water and flowers regularly not excite you, there's always a lazier solution.

You can get a pair of mandarin ducks and place it in your Romance sector.

A pair of mandarin ducks symbolizes marital bliss and should do the trick too.

Locating The Auspicious And Inauspicious Sectors Of Your Home

According to Eight Mansions Feng Shui, every house can be divided into eight sectors - four auspicious and four inauspicious. Where these eight sectors are located in a house is determined by the Kua number of the head of the household.

Once you have your Kua number, you can find out which are your four auspicious sectors and which are your four inauspicious sectors.

The next step is to get hold of the house's floorplan that's drawn to scale. With a compass, determine the directions and draw a pie chart like the one illustrated below:

You'll then be able to identify the four auspicious sectors and your four inauspicious sectors for the family.

Love & Romance Tip #1: Have No More Than 2 Chairs In A Couple's Bedroom

If you're married or if you're living with someone whom you enjoy a committed relationship with, you should make sure that there are no more than two chairs (or couches) in your bedroom.

Since your bedroom is the premise where you spend your most intimate moments with your partner, it should be furnished for just the two of you.

Having more than two chairs in your bedroom implies that there are third parties in the relationship. There may be a tendency for either one of you, or both of you, to feel insecure about the relationship. You could also be easily jealous and overly suspicious.
